NTSE - National Talent Search Examination

NTSE Introduction

NTSE stands for National Talent Search Examination. It is the most prestigious examination conducted by the government under the ageis of the NCERT and State Educational authorities at the high school level. Over 1,50,000 students appear for this exam every year. Only 1000 scholarships are awarded annually. National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national-level scholarship program in India to identify and recognize students with extremely high intellect and academic talent. The scheme is open to students of Indian nationality. Only students studying in Class X are eligible to appear for the selection process. As it is organized by an official body (NCERT), it is widely regarded as the toughest and most prestigious examination at high school level in the country. It helps students to proliferate their mental level and also helps them to sharpen their minds.

  • Confidence it gives for succeeding in competitive examinations - The acceptance level is only 0.67%. Therefore the scholar gets the confidence do well in examinations like IIT - JEE, NEET , SAT, CAT, GRE and other Engineering Entrance Examination.
    • Only students studying in class X are eligible to appear for the selection process for the respective Class X Stage I examination conducted by the States/UTs in which the schools are located.
    • Student can take the exam only once.
    • As selection process is completely decentralized, the percentage of marks required to apply will be decided by respective State/UTs.

HEAD OF INSTITUION SHOULD HANDOVER THE APPLICATIONS IN ONE LOT WITH TOTAL FEES COLLECTED IN CASH AT THE RESPECTIVE DISTRICT EDUCATION OFFICER ON OR BEFORE 23.09.2013 UPTO 5.30 P M

The State Level National Talent Search Examination for the Academic Year 2013-2014 will be held on 17th November 2013 for all the students currently studying in Std .X in any recognized school located in the State.

BATCH DETAILS

NTSE Classroom Training Programme started on June 1,2012 and goes till May 5,2013.

Course Duration:

The course duration is about 6 hours per week.

Batches:

Two batches are available. Weekday batches will have classes on Monday and Thursday. Weekend batches will have classes on either Saturday or Sunday.
